VILLA 21

The Project is located in Calpe in a costal urbanization with mostly holiday homes. Next to the salt flats of Calpe and the Peñón de Ifach. The house tilts its facades in order to interact with its surroundings.

One of the starting points of this project was to protect and archive privacy from its neighbors, the house is closed to its adjacent buildings and is open to the interior of the plot, archiving continuous exterior and interior spaces.

The facades are tilted to archive three goals, to maximize the shadow, to avoid dirt on the walls as well as to frame the Peñón de Ifach with the architecture itself.

The white cantilevers contrast with the black ceramic of the façade, empowering strong contrasts between light and shadows created by the mediterranean sun.
